CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION

The Life Saving Company is proud to offer the following Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) programs which are made available by the Emergency Cardiac Care program at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario:

Heart Saver (level A):
Basic Rescuer (levelC):
Basic Rescuer Refresher:

3-4 hrs.
6-8 hrs.
2-3 hrs.

The above scheduled times are recommended by the HSFO and strictly adhered to by The Life Saving Company.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario sets the guidelines and standards for CPR training.

All CPR programs will be taught by qualified Instructors or Faculties in Emergency Cardiac Care with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in accordance with the new 2010 guidelines.

AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)

What is an AED?

An Automated External Defibrillator is an instrument used to stop irregular heart rhythm, allowing the natural pace maker to restore a normal heart beat.

Due to numerous factors, including geographic or resource limitations, the average response times for EMS personnel can exceed the window of opportunity in which a person may be effectively resuscitated. For every one minute delay in providing the required emergency procedure of cardiac defibrillation (stimulating the heart with electric shock), the victim has a ten percent lower likelihood of survival. The great news is that you and/or your staff can be safely and easily trained to provide this life saving procedure.

Our AED Training program meets the guidelines of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and has been reviewed and approved by Dr. David Austin, a fully certified specialist in emergency medicine and the chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

All AED Training programs will be taught by current and qualified Instructors or Faculties in Emergency Cardiac Care with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

We will provide all the necessary training, equipment, and resources needed to institute a successful Public Access Defibrillation Program within your workplace. We will also provide 24-hour access to an AED program director to follow up on a rescue attempt for all AED equipped sites.
